Where Will You Fit In?

Market Access Africa (MAA) is looking for a Projects and Business Development Coordinator. The Co-ordinator must be creative and enjoy working within a small, entrepreneurial environment that is mission-driven, and results-oriented. This is an exciting growth opportunity for an early career professional. You will play a key role in supporting the project teams, operations function and leading other performance improvement initiatives. You will play a role in business development as the custodian responsible for updating of the business development database

The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The person will have the ability to work independently on projects and tass, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.

‍What Will You Do?‍

Business Development and Project Management

  • Maintain the CRM database, tracking business development opportunities, ensuring proper coding of the projects.
  • Coordinate project trackers, including business development, annual departmental workplans, and organizational performance matrices
  • Support special projects through research, data collection, analysis, and media monitoring, and develop concise memos as briefings on new opportunities
  • Support the project leads in proposal writing and contracting process
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, with an uncompromising attention to detail and a firm commitment to quality
  • Management reporting as required from time to time


  • Maintain responsibility for managing databases of consultants.
  • Manage the consultant time sheets to allow for accurate consultant payments and allocation of costs to project.
  • Oversee a broad variety of administrative tasks for the MAA executives, including managing an extremely active calendar of appointments; completing expense reports; composing and preparing correspondence that is sometimes confidential; arranging complex and detailed travel plans, itineraries, and agendas; and compiling documents for travel-related meetings
  • Support facilitation of meetings, including setting agendas, preparing briefing notes for participants, and documenting meeting highlights and action steps
  • Assisting the management team with recruitment processes, including job advertisements, drafting job offer letters and onboarding new consultants

Knowledge Management

  • Maintain responsibility for the SharePoint site, updating it for all new projects, teams and ensuring the integrity of information therein
  • Managing Access to the folders within the SharePoint site
  • Manage the filing system, filing contracts and all related paperwork within MAA

What Are We Looking For?

  • University degree in Project Management or related degree
  • 3-5 years of years Project Management experience
  • Experience with Zoho CRM and Zoho Expense
  • Demonstrated experience in digital project management tools and software
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Advanced Report and Proposal writing Skills
  • Fluency in French is a bonus
